About Our Founder
God has blessed this PTS and many aspects have been added to the school.
In 1976 we started with the Telugu medium. In addition to our major objective of Bible training, the Carl Technical School with Typing Practice, computer operation, TV and radio repairs, tailoring, and others. Courses were started for the benefit of students to learn “how to live and how to make living” while they started self-supporting congregations. The PTS provides living assistance to preachers for only 5 years and then they need to be self-supporting.
In 1991 we started B.B.S (B.D) 3 years English medium Bible training. This allows us to accept and teach people from all the states of India. Along with this we started night school for local people.
In 1995 the school began offering a 30 lesson of a Bible correspondence course in both English and Telugu. This can help anyone in the population.
In 2000 we were able to establish a full time Bible Training for women. This is known as the Calvin Women Bible Training. This course is designed for one year and two years. Preachers need to have their wife trained to help her husband interact with the Indian culture between men and women.
In 2002 we were able to start Monthly 5-day school for all who are working full time in preaching including preachers who graduated from the PTS and Pastors in the denominations. This is a wonderful way to reach the denominational churches and we were blessed by this work to change the whole congregation.
In 2022 August we were able to start a Distance Education for people who are not able to attend school on a regular basis. This course is designed for 4 semesters. On the end of the each semester they will write exams in the school premises and after 4 semesters work they will B.Th; degree.
Dr.K. G. Kumar
The Founder President and Director of the Schools is Kedarisetti Satyanarayana known as Kedarisetti Gershon Kumar aged 76 years. He is also the founder of the schools. In 1976 he graduated from Freed-Hardeman University with an AA and BS degree. Upon graduation Kumar came back to India his native country on July 14th. The Humboldt Church of Christ in Tennessee was the sponsoring congregationuntil June 2000. From July 2000 Northeast at Kingsport, TN USA has taken over the whole work along with other supporters. This Preachers Training School (PTS) was established and started on August 1976 with Telugu Medium (language), the state language of Andhra Pradesh.
Kumar was born Hindu in a Vyssya family. He accepted Jesus Christ as hispersonal Saviour on 1st January 1970 and was baptized by Dr. J.C. Bailey from Canada. Then Freed-Hardeman College offered him a full scholarship to study Bible by its president Dr. E.Claude Gardner. He was admitted in August 1972 for 4 years of Bible study and degree. After several decades of work at the PTS, Freed Hardeman awarded Kumar an honorary Doctor’s degree May 10, 2003 for his life’s work.

సహో, డా॥ కె.జి.కుమార్ గారు తూర్పుగోదావరి జిల్లా రౌతులపూడి గ్రామములో వైశ్య కుటుంబమునందు మార్చి 17, 1948న జన్మించినారు. 1965లో కాకినాడలో చదువు నిమిత్తము రావడము తద్వారా చర్చ్ ఆఫ్ క్రైస్ట్ తో పరిచయము ఏర్పడడము 1970 జనవరి 1న డా॥ జె.సి.బెయిలీగారి ద్వారా క్రీస్తునందు బాప్తిస్మము పొందడము జరిగినది. బాప్తిస్మమువలన కుటుంబములో ఏర్పడిన సమస్యలవలన మద్యలోనే మెకానికల్ ఇంజనీరింగ్ కోర్స్ ఆపుచేసి 1972 ఆగస్టు 25న అమెరికాలోని ఫ్రీడ్ హార్డ్మెన్ యూనివర్శిటీకి బైబిల్ తర్భీదుకై వెళ్ళి దానిని దిగ్విజయముగా 1976 మేలో పూర్తిచేసి పట్టబిద్రులై తిరిగి కాకినాడకు విచ్చేసిరి, 1976 ఆగష్టు నెలలో ప్రీచర్స్ ట్రైవింగ్ స్కూల్ స్థాపించి నాటినుండి నేటివరకు అవిరామముగా దేవుని పనిలో వారిని ప్రభువు వాడుకొనుటయే గాక వేలమంది విద్యార్థులను ఆంధ్ర, కర్నాటక, తమిళనాడు, ఒరిస్సా, మహారాష్ట్ర, నేపాల్, మణిపూర్, బర్మా మొదలగు ప్రాంతములలో వారివద్ద దేవుని నాక్యమును వేర్చుకొన్నవారు దేవుని పనిలో నున్నారట అతిశయోక్తి కాదు. ఆంధ్ర రాష్ట్రమంతటిలో వేల క్రీస్తు సంఘములను స్థాపించి అనేకమంది దేవుని సేవకులను క్రీస్తు ప్రభువు పనిలో ప్రోత్సహించుచు హౌప్ విజిటింగ్ మొదలుకొని వేలాదిమంది కూడిన టెక్చర్షిన్లో దేవుని వాక్యమును గంభీరముగా బోధించుచు అనేకులను రక్షణ మార్గమునకు త్రిప్పుచున్నారు.
వీరు 1976లో తెలుగు మీడియం బైబిల్ ట్రైనింగ్, కారల్ టెక్నికల్ స్కూల్, 1991లో ఇంగ్లీషు మీడియం బైబిల్ ట్రైనింగ్, 1994లో కృపావాక్యమను మంత్లీ మేగ్ జైన్, 1995లో బైబిల్ కరస్పాండెన్స్ కోర్సు, 2000లో కాల్విన్ ఉ మెన్ బైబిల్ కాలేజి, 2002లో నెలకు 5 రోజుల పాఠశాల, 2022లో డిస్టెన్స్ ఎడ్యుకేషన్ స్థాపించి పి.టి.స్కూలును దినదినాభివృద్ధి గావించిన ఘనత ఆయనకే చెందును. క్రమశిక్షణకు మారుపేరైన సోదరులు కుమార్ గారు. భారతదేశములో క్రీస్తు ప్రభువు సంఘములలో ఒక ఉన్నతమైన పాఠశాలగా పి.టి.స్కూలును తీర్చిదిద్దిరి.
